If the room gets lots of sun, try picking cooler colors like greens or blues. Likewise, if the room gets less sun, go with yellows, peaches or earth tones. Its always a good idea to have colors flow from one room to another so be sure your colors look good together if there is an open floor plan. Bathrooms are fun to do brighter colors in. One note about kitchens...because we all spend so much time in there a more neutral, calming color scheme will be more inviting and you won't tire of it so quickly. What colors should someone use to paint different rooms in a home?
I love earth tones, so my prefrence leans more towards them. I would do my most traditional color in the living room, like a green or beige. Make your bedroom your most personal space, so use colors that you love and make you feel good. Go for something fun in the bathroom, because it adds intrest to a boring place. Most of your color decisions should be based on the size of your rooms. If your room is small you typically would want to go with lighter colors. If your room is big you can go with darker colors.
Remember just have fun and use colors that make you feel happy. Color samples from paint stores are good to use becuase they are free and you have a HUGE selection.

Definately depends on the style of house, what you are trying to acheive in each room (relaxed, formal, calming, etc.) and your personal preferences. The paint stores have great little suggestion pages that have harmonious colors grouped together so you could find a set you like and know the colors would feel congruent throughout the house.
start with eggshell, or antiquw white in the smaller rooms, darker colors will make a room look even smaller than it it, get pale colors maybe..? last longer, can tough up and ya won't get sick of them as fast as some greens, blues, etc
its all up to you, my color choices might drive you nuts lol
these are the most used colors of my friends:
pastel violet
pastel blue
pastel green
light pink
light yellow
It depends on the decor of the room and your taste in colors.
