How do I paint a ceramic DOG BOWL at home?

I would like to paint a ceramic dog bowl for my dog. I want to know if this is possible to do at home, or do I HAVE to have a kiln? I would like to do this on the cheap side, so I am wondering if its possible to be done at home.

You can use an acrylic ceramic paint usually found at craft or pottery stores, and paint the bowl with up to 3 coats (depending on the paint used) for the best look. Then you would need to take it to a pottery shop so that they can fire it for you. When you get it back you can then glaze it with up to 3 coats of ceramic glaze (depending on the glaze used) then go back to the shop to have it fired again. So there isnt a way to paint at home enitrely? I would have to bring every piece that I paint to a pottery shop? I cant put it in the oven or something?

Will giving my 6 week old
