Why do some people paint the front door of their home red?

Is red suppose to signify something?Why do some people paint the front door of their home red?
The purpose is to make the door the focal point of the house. Sometimes the door can get 'lost' amongst all the landscaping, window, etc. Red is used because it's a warm, inviting color.Why do some people paint the front door of their home red?
Because it makes a statement. Some paint their doors a nice green or blue. Whatever you prefer.
For the same reason that people color their hair red, or drive red cars ... ever heard the terms ';Drop-Dead Red'; or ';Arrest-Me-Red';? It's because the color draws immediate attention. On the door of a house, that's a good thing, because it broadcasts the message ';Heyyy, come on in!';

No, it doesn't really signify anything. It just sets the door of the house apart from the rest of the front of the house. Notice that it's always the FRONT door ... no one ever paints their garage doors or back doors red! Most folks take pains to make the entrance to their home a focal point, and using red does just that.
I dont know, my grandmothers door is red, and it looks good on her house. I think I asked her that question a couple years ago and she said ';cuz I like it'; so...
it depends on how they think some people use colors as symbols and others just like red but other then that some people use red to show crime like partners to help secretly know where some one is with out being caught
