yeah , you are going to spend all that money on brick just to turn around and paint it...you must have more dollars than sense...why not buy the brick in the color you want it to be...or choose a siding you like...We have built on to our brick home and are planning to paint the brick, Any suggestions?
Why paint the brick, you are just adding more maintenance to your home....and if you decide to resell this could turn off buyers.
From brick-layer's perspective, painted brick on an exterior looks like a quick, cheap fix. If you want it to look nice and can afford a little more money, try going over your brick with a thin veneer stone which can be applied directly to the brick. You can also do a brick and stone combination.
I always hate to hear this... the only color I think is acceptable is the tan color..... maybe with black shutters... other then that I hate when people paint brick
