Is there a program that allows scanning of a home photo and ability to alter paint color etc to view outcome?

We are thinking of repainting our home a different color and would like to know if there is a program that allows u to ';try on colors'; so to speak! Is there a program that allows scanning of a home photo and ability to alter paint color etc to view outcome?
I have 2 different programs. One is Glidden's Color at

Home and the other is called Signature Colors Virtual

Painter. I cannot remember if they both allow scanned photos, or just one of them. I purchased them both at

Lowe's and they were each under $5.00. Each program

is different, representing different company's paint colors

and products, but they are both a lot of fun.

Happy experimenting!!Is there a program that allows scanning of a home photo and ability to alter paint color etc to view outcome?
you might try photoshop
I don't know if there's a program for that, but if you go to behr.com you can ';try on'; different colors, including trim and accent colors, in their sample rooms. It's kind of helpful.
there is not a program where ';you'; can take a photo of your room and ';simply'; swap colors to see difference. With Photoshop you can change the color by a mask/layering procedure and alter colors and shade, BUT! if you are not familiar with that program it is extremely hard (i use Photoshop all the time), besides the program is beau-coup $$$$$. Now an interior decorator will usually have program that allows one to swap out colors in pics. Like ';demos'; that allow you to see cars etc in different colors but it is not a simple snap to produce them.
You can try windows paint....or go to http://www.download.com and enter a search. I do know there are plenty of programs that allow that.

Good Luck
i dont know if there's a program taht actually gives u a pic of a home or watever to alter the color's u like. however, this is a program dat lets u tint the color on any kinda of photo, which includes a pic of ur house. its Photoshop. but you gotta be pretty good with it, its a professional pic edittin program.
