I believe the neutral shades give curb appeal. Consider some landscaping.
Neutral will have the most mass appeal. More importantly you want it to fit into the neighborhood, but not be the same as every house on the street. Tan with white trim is a traditional ';flip'; color scheme. ';Flippers'; use this color scheme because it is very mass appeal right now. Problem is if every other house on the street is tan with white trim, nobody will notice yours. Make it stand out, but tastefully.
A very pale yellow gives the look of color but somewhat along the neutral shades. Definately nothing bright and bold.
