What kind of paint do you use to paint outside of mobile home or aluminum paint?

Aluminum is a hard to paint surface. Typical paint does not adhere well to bare Aluminum however some coatings may be applied direct to existing paint as long as their is no bare aluminum or metal showing.





Top Secret Coatings 1 part epoxy is the exception, it has the highest possible adhesion so that it can be applied to existing paint even bare aluminum. Unless you get a direct to metal coating an etching primer will be required. Since the one part epoxy glossy a gloss reducer will be required in most applications. It can be brushed, rolled or sprayed with good results and it is economical, non-toxic, and easy to use.
It MUST be a paint for metal siding! Nothing else will adhere properly.
Hammerite do a garage door paint. Use that.
Just let it rust, the mobile home probably isn't worth the price of the paint.
Use lead paint.
