We are going to paint our recently purchased 1910 home.We have no heat at this time %26amp; it is in the 40's %26amp; 50's for the day highs. What temperature does it need in order for the paint to cure %26amp; dry properly? To paint the interior of a home what temperature does it need to be?
As long as it is not too humid, you should be fine when the temperatures are in the high 50鈥檚. Anything cooler and you鈥檙e looking at long drying times.

In old homes you鈥檙e going to need to make sure you don鈥檛 have lead paint. If you do, it鈥檒l need to be sanded off and extra care taken to guard your health. Plus you may have oil paint on the walls, and you鈥檒l have to sand off the finish on them if you鈥檙e going use latex paint. I鈥檝e also found that many old homes some have painted over wallpaper. You might be getting your self into a huge mess, and it will be cheaper and much easier to call in a professional painter.

Good luck with your new home!To paint the interior of a home what temperature does it need to be?
Ask the people where you purchased the paint, or read the label.

Generally, it should be at least 40 degrees for paint to dry. Humidity is also a factor.
Iam a painting contractor and I like it to be 50 or above for walls , if you are going to enamel woodwork or cabinetry, i like it over 70
